Built since 1973 and specifically hosting the 23rd World Cup of Golf in 1975, paddy fields were transformed into a 6,902-yard championship course of truly international standards. Since then, Navatanee has become a legendary course in Thailand that simply must be experienced.
Navatanee Golf Course is one of the most exclusive courses in Bangkok. The majestic layout was the result of the vision of Sukum Navapan, together with a world-renowned architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr. Their proficiency created the finest fantastic course appropriate for either the professional golfers or amateurs finding enjoyable challenges.
In 1975, Navatanee was selected by the International Golf Federation to be the host venue for the 23rd World Cup of Golf. After that, Navatanee also hosted the Kingdom’s National Open 1999, as the commemoration of His Majesty The King of Thailand’s 6th cycle birthday. In the same year, Navatanee was ranked by Golf Digest USA as one of Thailand’s best courses.
Course Highlight
•6th hole (445 yards, par 4)
A monster and possibly one of Asia's best holes. Water guards the left side, crosses the fairway and solitary bunker of a two tiered green. A very accurate drive to the green and a good putt is required for par 4.
•9th hole (552 yards, par 5)
A classic water hole. The drive, from an elevated tee, is threatened on the left by water, but, play safe to the right and the distance of second shot which must be played across the lake is lengthened. Long hitters may attempt the carry to a small green, guarded by bunkers on the back and right.
•13th hole (580 yards, par 5)
Fairway bunkers guard the right side of the fairway where long hitters will be tempted to go for the green. Others will play the second shot to the left for it opens up the approach to a small, well trapped green set in a hollow.
