Il Tartufo is located on Sukhumvit Road Soi 51 which takes just only 15 minute stroll from the Thong Lo BTS. With its quiet and peaceful ambiance, this restaurant allows guests to escape the smells and noise of the city. The restaurant had transformed an old house in Hi-End Sukhumvit area to be a hub for gathering. There is plenty of parking space in the garden and a lovely courtyard at the entrance. Inside the restaurant has an ambiance filled with pale yellow that matches the white linen on the table and white on the walls along with modern furniture. There is a mezzanine level with a nicely appointed circular layout that can accommodate 60 persons for a meeting or private function. For those wanting an outdoor affair, the secondary parking area with a beautiful garden offers guests a perfect outdoor spot for large weddings or special events.
Il Tartufo is italian for truffle, a wondrous ingredient that refines and defines all foods and is synonymous with a certain lifestyle, the “good life”. The restaurant aims to please the discerning diner and serve only organic produce of the highest quality. Fresh ingredients fill the menu, such as homemade mozzarella and daily seafood and salad specials. Classic pasta dishes, such as Gnocchi Pomodoro and Linguine alle Vongole, are also available as half-orders as an appetizer and side dish. For dessert, Il Tartufo boasts mouthwatering classics such as tiramisu and amaretto cheesecake.
The restaurant also gives satisfaction to wine lovers. Nobody needs to bring a wine on their own since the il Tartufo offers a very reasonable prize for the customers. The wine list had good range of Italian wines with a section dedicated to premium wines as well as to Magnums. The prices ranged from 1,000 Baht upwards with not many below 2,000 Baht. There are also plenty of space for a wine garden & chargrill area out at the front side of the restaurant.
