Founded in 1985, MBK or Mahboonkrong is the most famous shopping mall situated in the heart of Bangkok. It is 8 stories high and 350 metres long with the total area of 140,000 square metres and also air-conditioned. This shopping mall has 150 eateries and about 2500 shops and stalls selling fashionable clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, leather items, jewelries, and many other items. Due to the large area which is air conditioned and a large number of shops and stalls makes MBK receives an average of 115,000 customers a day, including 35,000 tourists from different parts of the globe.
Products being sold at Mahboonkrong are of good quality with reasonable prices. In addition, if you are exhausted from browsing and shopping, there are many eateries to choose from.
MBK Center has 8 floors. The floors are loosely divided as follows:

5th Floor : International Food Court, Restaurants, Furniture
6th Floor : Thai Handicraft shops, Food center
7th – 8th Floor : Entertainment floor containing of 8 movie theatres, 28 bowling lanes, Karaoke options, Game zone, Food and drinks.
